If you've got a little Thomas & Friends fan at home, this Trackmaster Lexi the Experimental Engine is going to be a huge hit! Inspired by the Journey Beyond Sodor movie, Lexi has this really unique 'cab-forward' design that makes her look like she was built backwards - which is exactly what makes her so special and different from the other engines. What's really cool is that she's motorized, so your kid can just flip the switch and watch her race along the tracks pulling her two cargo cars behind her. The set includes Lexi herself plus the two cargo cars, so they can recreate scenes from the movie or come up with their own adventures on Sodor. The Trackmaster line is designed for bigger action with higher speeds and more exciting layouts, which is perfect for kids who are ready to move beyond the basic wooden railway sets. I love that it encourages imaginative play - they can have Lexi delivering supplies, going on rescue missions, or just exploring the island with Thomas and the gang. The construction feels durable enough to handle rough play, and the colors are bright and engaging just like in the show. It's compatible with other Trackmaster sets too, so you can expand their collection over time. Whether your child is already deep into the Thomas universe or just discovering it, Lexi brings something fresh and different to the table. She's that perfect blend of familiar character with a unique twist that keeps playtime interesting. Plus, seeing the excitement when they first make her zoom across the floor is just priceless - definitely a toy that'll get lots of use and create some great childhood memories.
