Anglers, if you haven't tried tenkara fishing yet, this Sawtooth rod is the perfect place to start! At 12 feet fully extended, it gives you incredible reach for mountain streams, rivers, and lakes, yet it collapses down to just 20 inches for easy packing. Weighing only 3.2 ounces, it's so light you can fish all day without arm fatigue. The 5:5 action makes it more flexible and playful, perfect for targeting trout, bass, and panfish with delicate presentations. What's really cool about tenkara is the simplicity - no reel needed, less gear to manage, and more time actually fishing. It's equivalent to a traditional 4 or 5 weight fly rod, giving you that perfect balance of power for casting and finesse for presentation. The telescopic design extends smoothly and locks securely, and it comes with a protective case for storage and travel. Whether you're backpacking into remote streams, hiking to mountain lakes, or just want a minimalist fishing experience, this rod delivers exceptional performance without the complexity of Western fly fishing. It's one of those 'why didn't I try this sooner' pieces of gear that makes fishing more accessible and honestly more fun. If you're looking to simplify your fishing setup or try something new, this Sawtooth rod is absolutely worth checking out.
