15-Pack HSS Round Rods - 3mm X 100mm High Speed Steel Lathe Bar Stock

These HSS round rods are seriously useful for anyone who does metalworking, machining, or DIY projects. You get 15 pieces in the pack, each measuring 3mm in diameter by 100mm long (about 0.118 inches by 4 inches). The high-speed steel material provides excellent hardness, toughness, and wear resistance - way better than regular steel for most machining applications. The surface is smooth and polished, making them easy to work with and form without cracking. The uniform composition and fine grain structure ensure consistent performance and dimensional stability, which is huge for precision work. You can use these rods for all kinds of applications - turning, facing, drilling, threading, making milling cutters, gravers, punch needles, bearing sleeve rods, ejector pins, center pins, and so much more. They're easy to cut to whatever size you need for your specific project. There might be some slight warping (as they mention), but for most applications this won't be an issue - just don't use them where you need super high coaxiality. To get the best results, use appropriate lubrication or cutting fluid when working with them to prevent overheating and extend tool life. When storing, add some oil and keep them in a dry place to prevent rust. Whether you're a professional machinist or a serious hobbyist, having a supply of quality HSS rods like these is incredibly handy for all sorts of projects and repairs. The quality is good for the price, and having 15 pieces means you've got plenty for multiple projects or replacements. Seriously, if you work with metal regularly, these are one of those basic supplies that you'll find yourself reaching for again and again.
