Serious saltwater anglers, this Shimano Colt Sniper XR rod is absolutely built for shore casting perfection. The 3-piece design is genius for transport and storage, collapsing down to just 116.4cm, yet it still delivers that smooth, powerful performance Shimano is known for. At 3.05 meters total length and weighing only 310 grams, it's lightweight enough for all-day casting without sacrificing strength. The spiral X core technology gives it incredible backbone for fighting bigger fish, while the screw lock joints ensure everything stays tight when you need it most. It handles metal jigs up to 90 grams and plugs to 70 grams perfectly, with a max PE line rating of 4. The stainless steel guides with SiC inserts are smooth as butter for long casts, and the reel seat position at 505mm gives you great balance. Whether you're targeting bluefish, striped bass, or other shore predators, this rod has the perfect blend of casting distance, sensitivity, and lifting power. The 99.6% carbon content means it's responsive to every bite yet has enough power to turn big fish. If you're serious about shore jigging and want a rod that can handle everything from schoolies to trophies, the Colt Sniper XR delivers professional performance in a convenient travel-friendly package.
