Artists and crafters, if you've never tried scratchboard art, these Ampersand panels are the perfect place to start! You get three 5x5 inch panels in each pack, all featuring that premium 1/8 inch thick FSC-certified hardboard that won't warp, bend, or tear like paper scratchboards. The surface is coated with an ultra-smooth, acid-free kaolin clay ground with India ink, giving you that perfect black surface to scratch into. What's really cool is how easily you can create clean, crisp details and lines - the surface scratches away beautifully without tearing or fuzzy edges. If you make a mistake, no worries - you can just reapply India ink and start over on that section. You can even add colored inks to the white scratched areas for additional dimension and highlights. Made right here in the USA with that quality craftsmanship Ampersand is known for, these panels are formaldehyde-free and eco-friendly too. Once you're finished with your artwork, you can seal it and frame it without glass. Seriously, if you're looking for a unique art medium that's both challenging and incredibly satisfying, scratchboard art with these quality panels might become your new creative obsession.
