Strathmore 200 Series Drawing Paper - 5.5x8.5 Inch Tape Bound Sketch Pad

This Strathmore 200 Series drawing pad is absolutely perfect for artists and students who need reliable paper at an affordable price! The 5.5x8.5 inch size is so portable - great for sketching on the go, quick studies, or keeping in your bag for whenever inspiration strikes. With 40 sheets of 64lb/104g paper, it's substantial enough to handle various mediums without being overly bulky. The paper quality is impressive for the price - it works beautifully with charcoal, colored pencils, ink, pastels, and markers without bleeding through or feathering too much. The tape binding keeps the pages secure but still allows the pad to lay relatively flat when you're working. Being manufactured in the United States gives you confidence in the quality and consistency. The weight of the paper means you can do light washes without excessive warping, though it's not meant for heavy watercolor work. The surface has just the right tooth for pencil and charcoal - enough texture to grab the medium but smooth enough for detailed work. It's that perfect balance between quality and affordability that makes it great for practice, studies, or finished pieces if you're working dry. The package dimensions are compact at about 0.51x8.51x5.51 inches, making it easy to store or carry. Whether you're a student building your portfolio, an artist needing a reliable sketchbook for daily practice, or someone who just enjoys drawing as a hobby, this Strathmore pad delivers consistent performance. The paper takes erasing well without smudging or damaging the surface, which is so important when you're developing drawings. It's one of those trusted art supplies that professionals and beginners alike reach for because it just works reliably every time. The value is excellent too - you're getting quality Strathmore paper without the premium price tag of their higher series.
