Alright machinists, if you're dealing with tap breakage in through-hole tapping, these Drill America DWT series gun taps are seriously worth checking out. They're spiral-pointed machine taps specifically designed to solve that exact problem by shooting chips ahead of the cutting action - which means way less loading and clogging in the flutes. Made from high-speed steel that offers that perfect combo of hardness and toughness for wear resistance. They come uncoated with a bright finish, which makes them suitable for pretty much any application you throw at them. The round shank with square end fits standard tap holders, and the straight flute design works great for most applications, especially shallow cuts. They're right-hand cut, so they engage when you run them clockwise like normal. These are perfect for threading ductile materials, copper alloys, brass, and non-metallics. Getting a 12-pack means you've got plenty on hand for your shop - no more running out mid-job. Drill America is known for quality tools, and these taps live up to that reputation. Whether you're a professional machinist or a serious DIYer, having reliable taps that won't break on you makes all the difference in getting clean, precise threads every time. If you're tired of dealing with clogged flutes or broken taps, upgrading to these could save you a ton of frustration.
