Kaidun Welding Blanket 2 Pack - 6mm Thick Fireproof Carbon Felt Heat Shield 12x27

Alright, so if you do any kind of welding, soldering, or high-heat work, these kaidun welding blankets are seriously protective. The 6mm thickness is substantial - way thicker than many basic welding mats - providing much better insulation against heat, sparks, and slag. Made from heat-resistant carbon fiber, they can handle temperatures up to 1800°F (982°C) without burning or melting, which covers most welding, brazing, and soldering applications. Each blanket measures 12x27 inches, giving you decent coverage for your work area, and you get two in the pack so you can cover larger areas or have a spare. What's really useful is how versatile these are - use them as bench covers to protect your work surface, as ground protection when working on larger projects, as heat shields for wood stoves or fire pits, or even wrapped around grills and smokers to help retain heat. The carbon felt material is soft and flexible enough to wrap around irregular shapes, and you can easily cut it to custom sizes if needed for specific applications. A smart tip they mention is spraying them with water before use to prolong their life, which helps with heat resistance. Whether you're a professional welder, plumber, or DIY enthusiast working with high temperatures, having proper heat protection prevents damage to your workspace and reduces fire risks. The fact that these resist flames, sparks, splashes, and slag makes them suitable for various applications beyond just welding - think furnace work, foundry applications, or any situation where you need reliable high-temperature protection.
