So if you're trying to be more eco-friendly but don't want a smelly compost bin in your kitchen, this EPICA one is exactly what you need. It holds 1.3 gallons (about 1 gallon of actual compostable material), which is the perfect size for most households - big enough to hold several days' worth of food scraps but not so huge that it takes over your counter. The brushed stainless steel looks really stylish - it's actually nice enough to leave out instead of hiding it away. The one-piece molded construction means no seams or welds that can leak or rust over time. The airtight lid and replaceable activated charcoal filter are what really make this work - they trap odors naturally so your kitchen doesn't smell like composting. The bin measures about 7.16 inches in diameter by 11 inches high - compact but functional. Cleaning is easy - you can hand wash it or even put it in the dishwasher (just remove the filter first). This has been featured in Bon Appétit and Forbes, which tells you something about the quality. The charcoal filter typically lasts about six months before needing replacement, which is pretty good. You can compost fruit and vegetable peels, coffee grounds, eggshells, and other organic kitchen waste. Having this on your counter makes composting so much more convenient - no running outside after every meal. The stainless steel won't absorb odors like plastic containers can, and it's durable enough to last for years. If you're looking to reduce your food waste and start composting but want something that actually looks good in your kitchen, this EPICA bin is absolutely worth it. It makes being environmentally friendly so much easier and more convenient!
