This UNIVIVO butter slicer has completely changed my breakfast routine! The concept is so simple but brilliant - you can store and slice your butter in the same container. It holds two 4oz sticks perfectly, which is exactly what I usually have on hand. The stainless steel blades are sharp and cut cleanly through softened butter, giving you neat, even slices every time. The lid doubles as the slicer - you just place it over the butter and press down, and voila - perfect butter portions for toast, cooking, or baking. Important note though - the lid is NOT airtight, so if you need completely sealed storage, you might want to look at their larger models. The container itself is clear, so you can easily see how much butter you have left. Cleanup is surprisingly easy - the blades don't get gummed up, and the plastic wipes clean without any issues. I've found that letting the butter soften slightly before slicing gives the best results, but even straight from the fridge it works pretty well. The size is compact enough that it doesn't take up much space on the refrigerator shelf. This has been particularly handy for holiday cooking when I need specific amounts of butter for recipes.
