Parents, listen up - if your little shredder is hitting the trails, this Deuter Attack 8 Jr backpack is an absolute game-changer for safety and convenience. This isn't just any kids' backpack - it's actually the first TÜV/GS certified protector backpack specifically designed for young mountain bikers. The removable SAS-TEC back protector provides multiple impact protection, meaning it can handle different impact strengths to keep your kid safer on those rough descents. What's really smart is the high hip fin attachment that makes the backpack sit perfectly on their back without bouncing around, even when they're tackling technical trails. During breaks, they can easily attach their full-face helmet and protectors to the outside - no more carrying sweaty gear in their hands! There's a fleece-lined compartment for glasses that won't scratch them up, and it's compatible with deuter's Streamer 2.0 drinking system (though you'll need to buy that separately). The padded hip fins are breathable and even have a zip pocket for small items. The sizing is specifically designed for kids, so it doesn't overwhelm their smaller frames like adult packs sometimes do. For parents who want their young riders to have proper protection without sacrificing comfort or convenience, this Deuter backpack delivers on all fronts. It's one of those pieces of gear that makes you feel better about letting your kids push their limits on the bike, knowing they've got proper back protection and a well-designed pack that won't throw off their balance.
