This complete set includes 16 pushrods and 16 lifters - everything you need for your 370 CID (6.1L), 429 CID (7.0L), or 460 CID (7.5L) Ford or Mercury big block engine. The pushrods are made in the USA from quality C1010 steel with 0.060-inch wall tubing, measuring 5/16-inch in diameter and 8.550 inches in overall length. That's proper OEM-spec dimensions that will fit perfectly without modification. Elgin is known for making reliable engine components that meet or exceed original equipment quality. Whether you're rebuilding a classic car engine, fixing a worn-out valvetrain, or doing performance upgrades, having matching pushrods and lifters is crucial for proper engine operation and longevity. The lifters are designed to work seamlessly with the pushrods for smooth valve operation and consistent performance. This set covers the main production years for these engines - 1979-1989 for the 370, 1970-1973 for the 429, and 1972-1989 for the 460. The quality is immediately apparent when you handle the components - no rough edges or manufacturing defects. For the price, getting both pushrods AND lifters from a reputable US manufacturer like Elgin is a really good value. Your Ford big block will run smoother and quieter with properly matched valvetrain components. It's one of those parts purchases where you know you're getting quality that will last for years of reliable engine operation.
