Okay, if you're into deep strategy games with amazing miniatures, Rising Sun is absolutely worth checking out. This thing is set in this legendary version of feudal Japan where gods (the Kami) are coming down to reshape everything, and you get to lead your clan to dominance. The battle system is seriously innovative - it's all about bluffing and outthinking your opponents rather than just rolling dice. You'll be negotiating alliances, worshiping gods for favors, recruiting mythical monsters to your army, and managing resources carefully. The miniatures are some of the most detailed I've ever seen in a board game - just gorgeous pieces that really bring the theme to life. The artwork by Adrian Smith is stunning too, really captures that traditional Japanese aesthetic but with a fantasy twist. It plays 3-5 players and each game feels different because of the political elements and changing alliances. If you like games where you have to think several steps ahead and read your opponents, this delivers that in spades. The components feel premium, the strategy is deep but not overwhelming, and the theme comes through beautifully in every aspect of gameplay. Definitely one of those games that looks amazing on your shelf but actually gets to the table regularly because it's so engaging to play.
