Rockler Bow Tie Inlay Kit With Router Templates - Woodworking Butterfly Joint Jig Set

Woodworkers, this Rockler bow tie inlay kit is an absolute game-changer if you want to add those beautiful butterfly joints to your projects without the headache of cutting them by hand. Cutting bow tie inlays can be super tricky with all the angles and precise mortising required, but this system makes it practically foolproof. The kit comes with this clever two-piece bushing system - you install the sleeve to rout the mortise, then remove it to rout the bow tie key using the exact same template. This guarantees a perfect fit every single time, which is huge when you're working with expensive wood. You get two acrylic templates - one 3-⅝” long and another 4-¼” long - plus an acrylic frame that holds everything steady while your router runs on a flat surface. The included ⅛” solid carbide spiral up-cut router bit with ¼” shank is quality stuff that cuts cleanly. The templates have screen-printed cross marks that make alignment and centering a breeze. What's really cool is these inlays aren't just decorative - they actually help stabilize cracks and prevent them from spreading further in wood. The 6mm thick acrylic material is durable and gives your router a stable surface to work from. Whether you're adding decorative elements to furniture, creating signs, or repairing cracked wood pieces, this kit makes professional-looking results achievable even if you're not an expert woodworker. The instructions are clear, and once you try it, you'll be looking for projects that need bow tie inlays! For the price compared to buying everything separately, it's an incredible value that will elevate your woodworking projects to the next level. Seriously, if you've been admiring butterfly joints but were intimidated by the process, this kit removes all the guesswork!
