When winter hits hard, this FLYMOON balaclava has been my saving grace for outdoor activities. The knitted material is thick enough to provide real warmth but still breathable so you don't feel suffocated. The three-hole design works perfectly - one for your eyes, one for your nose/mouth, and it covers your entire head and neck without any gaps. I've worn this skiing, snowboarding, and even just shoveling snow in sub-zero temperatures, and it keeps the wind chill from being unbearable. The fit is snug but stretchy enough to be comfortable - it doesn't feel tight or restrictive like some balaclavas can. The white color we got is great for winter camouflage if you're into hunting, but it also just looks clean and simple for everyday winter use. After multiple wears and washes, it's held up really well - no stretching out, no pilling, and the shape has maintained perfectly. It's lightweight enough that you can stuff it in a jacket pocket when you're not using it, but substantial enough that you actually feel protected from the elements.
