Sax 90lb Watercolor Paper - 12x18 Inch Pack Of 100 Sheets

Whether you're just starting your watercolor journey or experimenting with new techniques, this Sax paper delivers quality performance without breaking the bank! French-made with a natural white color that makes your colors pop beautifully. The 90-pound weight provides substantial feel without being overly heavy, perfect for learning various watercolor techniques. The good working texture gives you just enough tooth to hold pigment while allowing for smooth washes and details. What's impressive is how well it stands up to repeated washing and rubbing - you can lift color and rework areas without the paper falling apart. Each sheet measures 12x18 inches, giving you plenty of space to create while still being manageable for beginners. The 100-sheet pack means you can practice freely without worrying about wasting expensive paper. The uniform whiteness across all sheets ensures consistent results project after project. Great for classroom use, art therapy, or anyone building their skills before moving to premium papers. The paper handles wet-on-wet techniques, dry brushing, glazing, and most other watercolor methods surprisingly well for its price point. Artists appreciate that it doesn't buckle excessively when wet, especially if you tape it down properly. The surface is responsive to both student and professional grade paints, giving you room to grow as your skills improve. Beyond watercolors, it works well for gouache, acrylic inks, pencil drawings, and even some printmaking techniques. The quality is noticeably better than many budget papers, with consistent sizing that controls paint flow predictably. Teachers love using this paper for workshops and classes because it performs reliably while keeping costs reasonable. The neutral pH helps preserve your artwork over time, unlike some cheaper papers that can yellow. Whether you're creating finished pieces or just practicing techniques, this paper handles the job with dignity. The generous sheet count means you'll have paper ready whenever inspiration strikes. Many artists keep this as their go-to practice paper even when they use more expensive sheets for final works. It's that perfect balance of affordability and performance that makes creating art accessible to everyone. From first-time watercolorists to experienced artists needing reliable practice paper, this Sax offering has become a trusted favorite for good reason!
