Pellon 975BX Polyester Insul-Fleece - 27 X 45 Inch White Thermal Insulation

Crafters and sewists, this Pellon Insul-Fleece is fantastic for all your thermal projects! The 27x45 inch size gives you plenty of material for multiple projects like oven mitts, casserole carriers, lunch bags, or even insulated clothing. Made from polyester fibers needle-punched with an aluminized scrim binder, it actually reflects heat or cold back to its source - keeping hot things hot and cold things cold longer. The white color works well under most fabrics without showing through, and it's soft and comfortable for wearable items. You can sew right through it easily, and once constructed, it's machine washable and dryable for easy care. Important safety note: it's not heat-proof or fire-resistant, so for pot holders or hot pads, they recommend adding an extra layer of cotton batting between your outer fabric and the Insul-Fleece. Don't iron directly on the aluminized surface. Made in the USA with consistent quality that Pellon is known for. Whether you're making thermal totes, insulated window treatments, or adding warmth to jackets, this material provides excellent insulation without excessive bulk. The 93.75% polyester/6.25% aluminized polyethylene composition delivers reliable performance project after project. If you've ever struggled with homemade oven mitts that don't protect well enough or lunch bags that don't keep things cold, adding this Insul-Fleece layer makes a huge difference. It's one of those specialty materials that experienced crafters always keep on hand for thermal projects. The quality is dependable and it behaves predictably when sewing, which is so important for successful projects.
