This Folkmanis Giant Clam puppet is absolutely magical for kids and puppet enthusiasts alike! The detail is incredible - the textured shell looks so realistic, and when you open it up, there's a beautiful pearl hidden inside that always gets a 'wow' from audiences. With four finger controls, you can operate both the shell opening and closing motion while also animating the eyes, creating really engaging and lifelike movements. I've used this in storytelling sessions with children, and it completely captivates them - the combination of visual appeal and interactive elements makes it perfect for educational settings about marine life or just imaginative play. The quality is typical Folkmanis - excellent craftsmanship, durable materials, and thoughtful design that stands up to repeated use. The ivory and blue color scheme is visually striking, and the size is substantial enough to make an impact but still comfortable to manipulate. It's recommended for ages 3 and up, but I've seen older kids and even adults enjoy playing with this puppet. Cleaning is straightforward - just surface wash with cold water and mild detergent, then air dry. Whether you're a teacher, librarian, parent, or just someone who appreciates quality puppets, this Giant Clam is such a unique and engaging addition to any puppet collection. It's perfect for ocean-themed storytimes, educational programs about mollusks, or just sparking imaginative play at home. The hidden pearl element adds that extra touch of magic that kids absolutely love!
