Classic Thunderbird owners, if you're restoring a 1965 or 1966 model, this complete tie rod steering rebuild kit has everything you need to refresh your front end steering components. The 6-piece set includes both inner tie rod ends, both outer tie rod ends, plus two tie rod sleeves - essentially every wear component in your steering linkage system. These are OEM-spec replacements designed to fit stock Thunderbirds perfectly, with the same dimensions and mounting points as the original factory parts. The kit comes complete with all the necessary hardware too - cotter pins, rubber grease seals and boots, zirc fittings for greasing, and all the bolts, nuts, and clamps needed for installation. The quality is evident in the machining and materials - these aren't cheap overseas copies but properly manufactured components that match the original specifications. Installation is straightforward for anyone familiar with front end work, though having a professional alignment afterward is recommended. Replacing worn tie rods not only improves steering precision and eliminates play, but it's also crucial for safety and proper tire wear. If your Thunderbird wanders on the road, has loose steering, or shows uneven tire wear, this rebuild kit will restore that tight, confident feel the car had when new. For the price compared to sourcing individual components, this complete kit provides excellent value and ensures all your steering components are fresh and working together properly. It's one of those restoration projects that makes a dramatic difference in how the car drives and handles.
