Mazda owners, if your keyless remote is looking worn out or not working properly, this SCITOO replacement is exactly what you need! This fits 2004-2006 Mazda 3 models and 2003-2005 Mazda 6 models - but super important to check that your existing key has the same 3-button configuration before ordering. Now, here's what you need to know: this comes as an uncut key fob with the battery and electronics already installed, but it DOES NOT include the actual metal key blade. The matte plastic construction feels durable and shock-resistant, and the buttons are responsive without being mushy. It replaces part numbers KPU41846, 41846, and 4238A-41846. Programming can be a bit tricky - some vehicles might require diagnostic equipment, so you'll probably need to visit a local automotive locksmith or dealer to get it programmed to your car. There are programming instructions available online at programyourremote.com, but results can vary depending on your specific vehicle. The quality is solid - it doesn't feel cheap like some aftermarket remotes, and the button layout matches the OEM design perfectly. If your current remote is cracked, buttons aren't working, or the battery compartment is damaged, this replacement will get you back to convenient keyless entry. Just remember you'll need to transfer your existing key blade or get a new one cut if needed. The installation is basically just the programming process since the physical unit comes ready to go. Much more affordable than going through the dealership, and for most people, it works exactly like the original. If you're comfortable with the programming process or don't mind paying a locksmith for that service, this remote can save you serious money compared to OEM prices.
