Alright model builders, if you're working on a 1/700 scale IJN Battleship Kirishima plastic model, this wood deck seal is one of those detail-up parts that takes your build from good to absolutely incredible. This is from Japan Toy Models' Detail Up Series No. 63, specifically designed for the Kirishima during its wartime configuration. The wood grain detail is seriously impressive - it looks so much more realistic than trying to paint a plastic deck yourself. The scale is perfect for 1/700 models, which is a popular size for warship builders. Now just to be clear - this is ONLY the wood deck seal, not the actual plastic model kit. You'll need the base Kirishima model kit separately, plus your usual modeling tools like glue, paints, and patience. But adding this deck makes such a huge difference in the final appearance. The quality is top-notch - thin enough to fit properly but durable enough to handle during installation. Applying it does take some care and precision, but the results are worth the effort. The wood tone looks authentic and adds that extra layer of realism that serious modelers appreciate. For historical accuracy buffs, having the proper deck for the Kirishima's wartime period is a nice touch. Whether you're building this for display, competition, or just personal satisfaction, this upgrade part elevates your entire project. The package includes everything you need for the deck application, and it ships with tracking for peace of mind. If you're putting time and effort into building a beautiful ship model, why not go the extra mile with details like this wood deck? It's one of those additions that people notice immediately and really makes your model stand out from basic builds.
