Car owners, if your temperature readings are acting wonky or your climate control isn't working right, this ambient air temperature sensor might be exactly what you need. This isn't some generic part - it's specifically designed to work with a huge range of Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram vehicles from the late 90s right up to 2021 models.
Before we get into the details, super important: Make sure this matches your original part number! It replaces 68518243AA and several others including 68457701AA, 05149266AB, and 56042395. The package includes both the sensor itself AND the connector pigtail plug, which saves you from hunting down separate components.
Compatibility is where this sensor really shines - we're talking about working with everything from Chrysler 200 and 300 models to Dodge Chargers and Challengers, Jeep Cherokees and Wranglers, plus Ram trucks from 1500 all the way up to 5500 series. The sensor is made from quality ABS plastic that stands up to engine bay conditions, and installation is pretty straightforward if you're comfortable with basic automotive repairs. When your outside temperature display starts showing crazy numbers or your AC isn't responding properly, this little sensor is often the culprit. The connector pigtail makes replacement much easier since you don't have to mess with wiring repairs. Whether you're dealing with a 2005 Chrysler 300 or a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee, this direct replacement part should get your temperature readings back to accurate and your climate control working like it should. Just compare with your old part before ordering to ensure perfect fit!
