Silverline Hoof Shaped Poultice Dressing 3-Pack - Boric Acid & Tragacanth For Horse Wound Care

Horse owners, this Silverline poultice dressing is an absolute must-have for your equine first aid kit. The hoof-shaped design is genius - it actually fits properly on your horse's hoof instead of those awkward rectangular pads that never sit right. Each package comes with 3 pads, making it economical to keep on hand for emergencies. The inner layer contains boric acid and tragacanth, which work together to draw out fluid and promote healing for everything from abscesses and puncture wounds to laminitis, mud fever, and seedy toe. You can apply it wet or dry depending on what you're treating - wet poultices are amazing for drawing out infection and reducing swelling, while dry application works great for protecting existing wounds. The outer layer is cotton with a durable plastic backing that provides cushioning while creating a water-resistant barrier. Application is straightforward: clean the area, saturate the poultice if using wet method (hot water for drawing, cool for soothing), position with plastic backing away from the hoof, and secure with bandaging tape. They should be changed every 12 hours to maintain effectiveness. Having these on hand means you can start treatment immediately when you notice a problem, rather than waiting for the vet or running to the feed store. The quality is veterinary-grade without the crazy price tag - these work just as well as the expensive brand-name versions. Your horse will appreciate the relief from pain and discomfort, and you'll appreciate how much easier these are to work with compared to messy poultice mixes. Whether you're dealing with a sudden abscess or just want to be prepared for whatever your horse gets into, having these in your tack room is smart horse ownership. The 3-pack is perfect for trying them out, but serious horse people usually end up buying the 30-pack box once they see how well they work. Your horse's hooves will thank you for having these ready when trouble strikes.
