Serious chess players, get ready to upgrade your game with these absolutely gorgeous Smokey Staunton chess pieces from CHESSBAZAAR! The king stands proudly at 3.8 inches with a solid 1.6 inch base that gives these pieces some serious presence on the board. What makes these really special is the craftsmanship - each piece is individually hand carved, sanded smooth, and then hand painted using auto-grade paints that are built to last through years of intense gameplay. The set comes with 34 pieces including two extra queens (because let's face it, queens are game-changers!). Now here's the really satisfying part - every piece is weighted with iron studs in the base and features leather felt bottoms, giving them that premium feel and perfect stability that prevents accidental knocking over during those intense matches. Made from beautiful rose/sheesham wood paired with stained boxwood, the contrast is just stunning. The set weighs around 1300 grams (give or take 10% since weighting is done manually), and they work perfectly with boards that have 50-60mm squares. Just so you know, the board and storage box aren't included - these are just the beautiful pieces themselves. Whether you're a tournament player or just love having a quality set for home games, these weighted pieces feel amazing in your hand and make every move feel intentional and important. Your chess nights are about to get way more sophisticated!
