So if you're into auto body work or metal shaping, this Power-TEC bobbin dolly is one of those specialized tools that makes certain jobs so much easier. It's made from top-quality forged steel that's been heat treated under controlled conditions - basically, they've made it tough enough to handle serious pounding without deforming or cracking. The weight is about 755 grams, which gives it enough heft to work effectively but isn't so heavy that your arm gets tired quickly. The surface is ground and polished to a high standard, so it's smooth against your workpiece and won't mar the metal you're working on. The bobbin shape is specifically designed for working on curved surfaces and tight areas where regular dollies won't fit - think wheel arches, door skins, or any rounded panel sections. It's part of Power-TEC's hammer and dolly range, and they're a British company that's been in the automotive tool business for years, so you know you're getting professional-grade quality. Whether you're a professional body repair technician or a serious DIY enthusiast working on car restoration projects, this dolly provides that solid backing surface you need when hammering out dents or shaping metal. It works alongside your body hammers to help you achieve smooth, professional results without stretching the metal. The forged steel construction means it'll probably outlast most of your other tools, and it's designed to withstand the daily abuse of shop use. It's one of those tools that might seem specialized, but once you have it, you'll find yourself reaching for it constantly on various metalworking projects.
