If your gas fireplace or water heater isn't staying lit, this thermopile replacement might be your solution! This 36-inch thermopile generates 750 millivolts and is compatible with numerous Heatilator, Heat n Glo, Empire, and other gas appliance models. The glass fiber wiring and aluminum construction are built to handle working temperatures up to 750°C, making it durable enough for long-term use in heating applications. Installation is relatively straightforward if you're comfortable with basic gas appliance repairs - it typically takes about 60-120 seconds to heat up and generate sufficient voltage once installed. The spiral type and two-pole plug-in connection make replacement simple for most standard setups. I've helped replace similar units in friends' fireplaces, and the difference in reliability is immediately noticeable. This replaces multiple part numbers including Q313A, 60125501, and several others, so it's widely compatible across many brands. The quality feels substantial - the materials are robust, the connections are secure, and it's clearly built to withstand the high-heat environment of gas appliances. Whether you're dealing with a fireplace that won't stay lit or a water heater with ignition issues, having the right replacement thermopile can save you expensive service calls. For DIY-minded homeowners comfortable working with gas systems, this thermopile delivers reliable performance at a fraction of professional repair costs. Just remember to always follow safety procedures when working with gas appliances and consider professional help if you're unsure about any aspect of the installation.
