1999 Royal Canadian Mint Proof-Like Coin Set - 7 Uncirculated Coins With Polar Bear Theme

Coin collectors and Canada enthusiasts, this 1999 Royal Canadian Mint proof-like set is a beautiful addition to any collection! The set features 7 uncirculated coins sealed in transparent plastic film and presented in a special keepsake envelope with an enhancement card. The highlight is definitely the 'toonie' - Canada's first bi-metallic circulation coin that was introduced in 1996, featuring designs from artists Brent Townsend and Dora de Pedery-Hunt. The polar bear theme celebrates this magnificent creature that symbolizes the endurance and strength of the Arctic wilderness. What's really special is that approximately two-thirds of the world's polar bear population lives in Canadian territory, giving Canadians a unique connection to these amazing animals. The proof-like finish means these coins have that mirror-like surface quality that makes them sparkle and stand out from regular circulation coins. The condition should be excellent since they've been preserved in their original packaging since 1999. This isn't just a random assortment of coins - it's a thoughtfully curated set that tells a story about Canadian wildlife and currency history. The packaging protects the coins from fingerprints and environmental damage, maintaining their pristine condition for display or future trading. Whether you're building a Canadian coin collection, interested in wildlife-themed currency, or looking for a meaningful gift for a collector, this set delivers quality and historical significance. The polar bear design on the toonie has become iconic in Canadian currency, and having it in proof-like condition from the original mint set makes it even more special. Much more interesting than individual coins - this complete set represents a specific moment in Canadian minting history that serious collectors appreciate. A beautiful piece of Canadian numismatic history that will only become more valuable over time!
