Clairefontaine PastelMat Paper - 5 Sheet Pack 24x32cm Light Blue 360g

Serious pastel artists, this Clairefontaine PastelMat paper is absolutely game-changing! This pack includes 5 sheets of 360g card stock in light blue, measuring 24x32cm - the perfect size for various pastel projects. The paper has this unique soft and adherent surface that lets you build up multiple layers of pigment without saturation effects, and you don't even need fixative between layers. It's not abrasive like sandpaper or too soft like velvet paper - it's this perfect middle ground that holds pastel beautifully. The magic is how it handles both energetic strokes and soft shadings with equal excellence. Even better, it works with wet techniques and alcohol without losing its gripping surface or grain structure. The acid-free, neutral pH composition means your artwork will be preserved perfectly over time without yellowing or deterioration. Clairefontaine is known for quality art supplies, and this PastelMat paper lives up to that reputation. Whether you're creating detailed portraits, landscapes, or abstract pieces, this paper responds beautifully to every pastel technique you throw at it. If you've been struggling with papers that don't hold enough layers or require constant fixative, this paper will completely transform your pastel experience. It's definitely worth trying if you're serious about your pastel art!
