Camp Basket Weaving Kit - Makes 20 Baskets With Pre-Drilled Bases And Round Reed

If you're looking for a fun group activity that actually produces something useful, this basket weaving kit is absolutely perfect. It comes with everything you need to make 20 baskets - twenty 4-inch pre-drilled wooden bases, plenty of #3 round reed, beads, and super clear illustrated instructions. I used this with my scout troop (ages 9-12) and they picked it up surprisingly quickly. The instructions are so well-done that even complete beginners can follow along without frustration. What's great is that it teaches real basket weaving skills - plain weave technique, working with round reed, and creating simple borders - but in a way that's accessible for kids. The baskets turn out sturdy enough to actually use for small items, and the kids were so proud of taking home something they made themselves. Perfect for school groups, summer camps, church activities, or even just a rainy day craft with your own kids. The materials quality is good - the reed is flexible but strong, and the pre-drilled bases save so much time compared to traditional basket making. We did have enough materials to complete all 20 baskets with a little reed left over. If you're organizing any kind of group craft activity, this kit takes all the guesswork out of planning and delivers really satisfying results that the kids genuinely enjoy making.
