If your Audi or Volkswagen's cooling fan isn't kicking on properly, this MTE-THOMSON switch might be exactly what you need. This thing is compatible with a ton of models - we're talking Audi 100, 200, 4000, 5000, 80, 90, A4, A6 and Volkswagen Fox, Golf, Jetta, Passat, Quantum, Rabbit, Vanagon, plus even some Porsche 944 models. The switch operates in two stages - first stage kicks in at 95°C/203°F and the second stage at 102°C/216°F, which helps keep your engine at the perfect operating temperature and can actually improve your fuel efficiency. The construction is solid with corrosion-resistant brass housing and brass terminals that provide excellent conductivity. It's designed to meet or exceed OEM specifications, so you know it'll work just like the original part. I installed this on my '92 Audi 100 and it was a straightforward replacement - just make sure your engine is cool before you start working. It replaces OE numbers 321959481C, 321959481A, and 34512160. Having a properly functioning cooling fan switch is crucial for preventing overheating, especially in stop-and-go traffic or during hot summer months. For the price, this is a reliable replacement that could save you from much more expensive engine damage down the road.
