Sports officials and coaches, this Acme Thunderer whistle is basically the gold standard in sports whistles! The small size (model 60.5) measures about 1-13/16 inches long with an 11/16 inch drum width and tapered mouthpiece that's comfortable to use. What makes this whistle special is the high pitch it produces - that sharp, clear sound that cuts through crowd noise and gets players' attention instantly. This isn't just any whistle - it's the original pea whistle design that revolutionized sports officiating back in 1884, and it's still the world's leading referee whistle today. The build quality is seriously impressive, with total reliability that referees depend on for important games. You can hang it on your keychain or wear it around your neck for quick access during games. Every major sports league has used Acme Thunderers at some point, which tells you something about their performance and reliability. Whether you're refereeing soccer, basketball, football, or any other sport that requires clear audible signals, this whistle delivers the power and control you need. The small size makes it easy to handle and carry, while still producing that distinctive Thunderer sound that athletes recognize immediately. If you're serious about sports officiating or just need a reliable whistle for coaching, this is the one that professionals trust game after game, season after season.
